Maha Bharani during Pitru Paksha is one of the most important days to honor our ancestors.

Pitru Paksha is the sacred 16-day period dedicated entirely to our ancestors. When Bharani Nakshatra occurs during this period, it is known as Maha Bharani.

Bharani is connected with Lord Yama, the deity associated with dharma, death, karma, and the journey of the soul. Because of this connection, Maha Bharani is traditionally considered a very significant day for ancestral prayers and remedies.
